(Hospital 06) Yeah, Michael Tomioka is still alive!!

So this guy Michael Tomioka, who plays a hunky doctor in this portion of 24hr series, used to be the MTV VJ in Japan in the early 80's. I'm just surprised to know that he's still on TV to be honest.

One side note. There's a part in this 10min clip where the cast memebers accuse Tanaka of being "gay." Well, the word they use here actually doesn't quite mean "gay." The word they use "Okoge", actually describes a woman who's into gay men. But since I don't know any English word that describes that, I opted to use the word "gay." There's actually a Japanese movie with that same title released in the 90's.

    Thanks for the subtitles, keep it up! I love to watch gaki no tsukai, but I can barely understand what they are talking a about. You're doing us a big favor translating! :D

    Thanks for the subs. Been reading your posts to get more background on the Japanese celebrities in the show. Anyway, there is a disparaging word for woman who likes gay men, it's a "fag hag." But your choice of "gay" is much funnier in this translation to english.
