Before Ashton Kutcher's "Punk'd" dominated the MTV, there was どっきりカメラ or "Dokkiri Camera" in Japan back in the early 80's, pranking many celebrities for for us audience to have a chuckle or two.
I would hate to say that the show was rigged, but one of their more famous pranks, which involved a man(pictured above) sneaking into a celebrity's hotel at an ungodly hour to wake them up, would sometimes show a cute female celebrity being waken up with a perfect make-up on.
Enjoy,

ReplyDeleteI'm so confused. Yamasaki says that he is good at getting pranked and they just prank him while they're all sitting there?
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteYamasaki is toooo funny! He's so overdramatic but it's freakin' hilarious, the parts with the whoopie cushion was the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this before your Japan trip Shibata, it's awesome. When you get there, be sure to pour some sake on the curb for all of us stuck in the U.S.
ReplyDeletethanks for the subs shibata
ReplyDeleteYamasaki can get really annoying sometimes.
ReplyDeleteIve heard Matsumoto-san say what sounds like sabbu before in one of the cosplay skits. Here he says it at the end as "how lame" Anyone know what its meaning, couldn't find it on the web.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the vid Shibatabread!
Thank you! Great episode, Matsumoto reaction was the best :)
ReplyDeleteIt's something he popularized.
ReplyDelete寒い / Samui (Sabui exists too, literally the same meaning) means "cold".
Matsumoto uses it to describe anything that is corny and not funny.
Example: He made a joke in one of the "Absolutely tasty series" and nobody laughed.
So he said something like "Man that was a cold one" (used sabui here) saying that his joke sucked.
I hope I could explain it a little, my English sucks sorry for that ;).
Great job as always! Never get tired of these guys. Just a heads up, there's a missing 'e' in the word "perfct" in the title of your blog. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's meant to be spelled wrong. It puts emphasis on "almost always" :)
ReplyDeleteDaily Motion doesn't load for me =(.
ReplyDeleteAny chance for a download link?

ReplyDeleteYou mean you hope this fake show with Yamasaki fake Pranking himself isn't fake?
ReplyDeletecan't you get it from the title itself? it means this prank is already setup by himself, he just want to show his acting skill
ReplyDeleteto be exact this is the most stupid downtown ever
ReplyDeleteevery1 hatin on yamazaki in this one. thought this was hilarious. he still takes the initiative in crafting his comedic/acting skills. maybe not the greatest actor. but def one of the hardest workers in the bizz, and i mean worldwide.
