(Spy 9) One of my favorite parts is here!

Gaki Fans, we're almost finished with this madness. Thanks goes out to my teammates.

Seiji Chihara (千原せいじ) is one half of a Manzai duo called "Chirara Kyoudai" (千原兄弟) or "Chirara Brothers". It's not uncommon to see real life siblings as members of a Manzai duo. We have seen Chihara Junior, the other member of the duo, in the "No Laughing" Hotel and Police series.


村上ショージ Murakami Shoji. I wrote a little about him here.

Nakagawa Ke (中川家) is another Manzai duo comprised of two brothers. In this clip, Reiji, one of the brothers, poses as the Chairman of the Wrestling Association. His act is my absolute favorite part of the show this year (check out 9:33-10:37). I watched it over and over and laughed my butt off every time. My wife can attest to this.

    Thanks SB and fellow teammates! Just a minor thing to point out. I think the guy who joined Murakami did not try to mimic Cantonese. My guess is he was trying to speak Korean. This is because he later spoke like a North Korean news anchor. Anyway he was trying to speak in another language to make the Gaki people laugh.

    Cicil - I have looked into this and I've heard he's mimicked both Korean and Cantonese in his acts (in manzai.) I wasn't 100% sure which so I went with the Cantonese.

    I think It would be very funny if that big guy in dark glasses (while checking the members for camera) slapped Hamada with his device and asked him: "Why are your lips are so red, moron?". That would be hilarious, 'cause he always punishs Yama-chan xD

    The build up to the slap could've been better. Like the one where it seemed that tanaka would get slapped but yamasaki ended up getting slapped as usual. Can anyone remind me which batsu that was from?

    I think it was the newspaper agency. Tanaka seemingly had the notebook belonging to Chouno with his secret notes but because Yamazaki had bumped into his son (kis with soft ice) earlier, Chouno decided to punish Yamazaki instead.

    Wow, one of these days they should put a twist during the annual Chono slap thing, 'cos that was just ridiculous. Maybe have the other guys stand up for Yama-chan or sumth lol. Don't get me wrong, I was still laughing the whole way through xD

    I would not say the guy (~10 min) is mimicking Cantonese, it sounds more like Korean (and the action like a (North) Korean solider) to me, maybe you would like to make the change.

    I guess he is of Korean descent in Japan also known as Zainichi Koreans.

    My Korean is rather poor,but Reiji is making a joke of his name. Since I don't understand the particulars I'm thinking whoever he's talking to misunderstood his name as an insult, and he says says "Aniiii" which is almost a girly way of saying no and corrects them. I need to look into this.

    When I first saw it on release, it looked like Yamasaki only got a glancing blow. This version he looks like got it good. Nice to know he didn't skeeze out of the slap at the end. :)

    Chono and Yamasaki have perfect chemistry with one another. Some guests in the batsu games, regardless of whether or not you're familiar with them, are a little touch-and-go. Chono's always hilarious because he just has fun with it, despite the 'tough guy' bit.

    I wonder how many times in almost every show he's been slapped by Chono - probably 8 times now? One of these days, Yamasaki's gonna get even with him - that I hope. ;)

    Yamasaki knew the outcome but rather than getting slapped quickly. he want to delay the slap to make the others get the most butt slap for just 1 unfair slap for him.
