My podcast listeners know that I have put together a team to tackle this year's epic-end-of-the-year translation aka "No Laughing - Spy School."
Let us say hello to these brave souls.

is a company focusing on bringing Professional Gaming aka E-Sports to a serious connotation in the US and possibly later on in Japan. Our motto is "Pioneers in a new filed of electronics" and while we are relatively new, any and all support would be appreciated. Lastly, "I'm a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Japan, pleasure to be translating for everyone. よろしくお願いします." is one last thing I'd like to include.

ReplyDeleteThankyou as well, will you be working on Gaki No Tsukai No Laughing In Newspaper Agency, and No Laughing In Hot Spring? Youtube removed them and the only one's they have on are in Spanish for some odd reason.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous- The team is working on a video right now just as a practice-run. But it's not the newspaper man series. We just don't have enough to time sub hours and hours of footage before the new year's eve.

ReplyDeleteI can't speak for everyone else on subbing team, but if everyone's willing, we might tackle more lengthy videos in a future.
Btw, shibata, a project like this, how long does it take you, if you did by yourself (i know this depends on a much of the day you spend on it) Because I seriously have no clue as to how long it takes to sub something, say an episode (25minutes) or a full hour long feature. If you could reply for my knowledge I would be very grateful
ReplyDeleteNadia - I really don't want to put any kind of deadlines on any of the subbing project since, like you said, there's many elements that can expedite/delay the process. I put in a lots of hours translating between work last year, and it (still) took 4 months to complete. I hope having a team of people does expedite the process, but no promises.
