Back in January 2009, I thought I'd delve myself into the world of blogging where I can discuss about sports, music, and just a little sprinkles of Japanese culture :)
Fast forward to today, I have 50 mainly Gaki video clips translated and 71 followers and anonymous followers. I'd never imagined I'd last this long, or still have visitors.
I hope you got to learn something about Japanese culture through this blog as I re-learned about it myself.
I'd like to thank my beautiful and awesome wife again for proofreading/editing my translation.
And of course thank you to all who's stuck through.
As I did with the Hospital series, I will merge all of the sub files together and make it available in a future.
It's hard to tell what I'm doing blogging-wise from now on, but there are several Downtown videos that I've been meaning to sub, so I might tackle them first.

ReplyDeleteFor anyone wondering, fujiwara was wearing a toast helmet thingy when he went to wake them up, (it's the same one hamada puts on in the scare heipo shichi henge episode) I wonder why they couldn't show it in this version, did someone massacre some people wearing a toast helmet recently?

And btw, trust me, there are 73 followers on the blog, but i know there are loads of more people visiting here and making a post once in a while, or just following silently. Take the views from your videos, people usually watch 2 or 3 times each video, even if more, there are way more views than that, so you can be sure that a lot of people are following your work, and for all of them, or us, i say once more, thank you.

ReplyDeleteAs for Fujiwara's face being blocked, I believe producers didn't bother(or couldn't) to obtain the permission from the creator of this animation character he's portraying (shokupan man, or toast man.)

I believe the haunted hotel batsu game has been subbed. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.
I might work on the extra footage of the Hospital series, but please, don't quote me on this as the holiday season approaches and I'll need all the time to stuff myself with more food.
If the rumor is true, there will indeed be another run of Batsu Game this New Year's Eve. The location is said to be at the Hotel. Stay tuned.

Ever since the first time I saw a video of them which was shared by a friend in Facebook, I became curious about the show because of there humor and originality. I just love not only what these guys are doing but also japanese humor. It was sad that youtube had to take your profile down because I prefer you subtitles and since most of the batsu videos in YT are not subtitled. But can I see that you made a blog site for these ones which made me very appreciative of your work and passion to show the world the japanese-humor way. :) I'm a fan of DownTown and yours.
